I am the Director of an NGO (non-profit) called Public Achievement. I am passionate about the need to engage young people and communities in the reinvention of democracy. I am also passionate about the importance of building alternatives to violence as a way of dealing with human conflicts. I feel the 'war on terror' is counter-productive and is breeding fundamentalism, racism and despondency in addition to the massive waste of human life.
