Description: Calvert Foundation www.calvertfoundation.org is currently seeking a Business Development Officer to serve as a point person on communications with financial advisors, manage key relationships, facilitate relationship cycle with the sales team and provide administrative support to the Marketing Sales and Servicing team. Responsibilities: • Work in coordination with the Business Development Manager to achieve sales and fundraising goals • Initiate outbound telephone campaigns to advisors to promote sales of Calvert Foundation’s products and services • Answer inbound calls as needed to service callers marketing needs, answer questions, provide sales ideas, and fulfill requests for sales literature • Provide support for sales team • Provide sales ideas and marketing assistance to existing third party producers in order to increase their sales and maintain existing Calvert Foundation assets • Maintain salesforce.com database, sales tracking systems and other reporting with accurate and up-to-date information • Utilize e-wholesaling tools as appropriate to communicate with advisors and generate sales • Occasionally travels in territory to assist team with presentations, and/or provide conference booth coverage • Become knowledgeable and remain up-to-date with Calvert Foundation product information, financial market activities and investment industry trends • Coordinate with marketing to produce outreach and high touch events Skills and Knowledge Required • Four year college degree required, preferably in finance, economics or marketing • Two to three years previous telephone sales experience preferred • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to prepare and deliver sales presentations • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities. • Must be self-motivated and results oriented • Financial and community investing knowledge preferred • Must be available for occasional travel • NASD Series 6 and 63 or Series 7 a plus • Experience with Microsoft Office, programming, and database systems preferred How to Apply: Please email your resume and cover letter to jobs@calvertfoundation.org, with Business Development Officer in the subject line or mail to Calvert Foundation at 7315 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20814 attn: Human Resources.
