Anyone who has studied history knows that war is good for the economy. It’s true. http://www.antiwar.com/henderson/?articleid=8662
So, as the War in Iraq is “winding down” so to speak – more Iraqi people are returning home from their exile to Syria and other locations. Mr. Bush and party know they have milked this cow dry and it’s now time to move on – to Iran.
Iran is a threat yesterday, today and tomorrow – or something to that effect has been uttered by Pres. Bush.
Now, who are they a threat to? The United States? themselves? Iraq? Who? And, if it’s not us – the Us Intelligence “agencies” say they quit their nuclear arms initiative in 2003 – then why should Americans be spending that 7% of the national budget on the military, sending our young people to die. No, I don’t think so.
But Mr. Bush and probably more pointedly, Mr.Cheney, need a new war to bolster the US economy in this pre-recession, war weary, globally warming, national disastering, anxious country of ours. Either that or they are just war-hungry and enjoy the power. I couldn’t say.
But, people, let’s not let this happen. DO NOT let Mr. Bush and party perpetuate and rumor monger us into a NEW, or perhaps I should say, CONTINUING WAR. “Heck, we’re all set up in this region anyway – we’ll just mosey on over.” I say to myself.
