Advanced polling for our federal elections is already underway and it seems, at least by the polls, that the incumbent government might just sneak past with a victory. Without taking sides, I think the victory would probably have more to do with a lack of serious options rather then the governance of the 'defending champions'.

"Vancouver city council voted Tuesday afternoon to give a green light to low-speed electric vehicles..."

"...The small light cars are already allowed under B.C. law to travel on roads with a speed limit of 40 km per hour or less, but are only allowed on roads with faster speed limits when municipalities vote to permit them..."

At least there is some progress! Way to Go Zenn and the province of British Columbia :)

I have now seen at least a dozen television commercials and psuedo-short-documentaries and news blurbs about "how we got into this financial mess" and "what exactly is a credit crunch?" I find it to be rude, disdainful, patronizing and insulting that somehow, we (the American public) are deemed too ignorant to understand what has brought us, collectively, to the edge of financial ruin. ..Is what a lot of us experience on a regular basis, especially when it comes to professional decisions. Personally, it seems to be that the second or third thoughts regarding a particular decision seem to be negatively inclined. It is often a case of one foot in the positive and the other in the negative territory! This slip is called Positively Negative by the author of the article whose link is attached below. The link is informative, Sarah, but not directly applicable here.

As the guys mention in their video, they’re running the bus off of vegetable oil discarded from restaurants. Technically it’s not biodiesel, which â€” as mentioned in your link â€” is often made from palm oil.

There’s a place for debates over the lobbying role of subsidized United States agribusiness, the environmental effects of spraying and growing enormous crops of inefficient but politically favored corn, and so on.

I’d hate to see anyone walk away from this thread ...

I hope many people read your excellent post on why philanthropy works, and how it’s good for you!

Cash is good of course, but equally valuable to those starting to exercise their passion for humanity, are recognition, encouragement and lending a hand.
