Is Compassionate Carnivore an Oxymoron?

It's become fashionable to call yourself a compassionate carnivore if you aren't going to stop eating animals and their secretions (milk) and menstrual excretions (eggs), but you don't want to appear barbaric and you want people to know that you don't agree with the atrocities committed in the name of factory farming.

great article, it's good to see more anarchists engaged with this issue because it's a big one. I wrote an article on the same topic last week but from a more 'comparative politics' perspective looking at the framing of immigration debates in the us, uk, and ireland; and the effects of mass migration on working class people and ethnic minorities. i think i'll go copy it out and repost it here on rethos.
