All I ask in return is that you design a really cool site that gets people involved, spreads the Sustainability Symbol around the world and brings attention to at least one of the Climate Change related projects we’re working on (Like “STOP the GLOFs”) The rest will be up to you.

Sorry to all the schools and organizations that asked for a presentation about the 3 Finger Sustainability Symbol... something very important that may help nudge the tipping point to Sustainable Thinking has arrived.

...and the Rethos.com community is the FIRST to hear about it!

I'm off to Nepal to help with the EcoEverest expedition -

if you are interested in participating, enjoying an amazing adventure, and helping bring a "three finger focus" to this area of the planet where climate change and global warming are having a measurable and devastating effect RIGHT NOW... please se...

New comment - Can Well-Being Be Measured?

I believe hardship brings people together because it is a common experience. It builds empathy. I think wealth can breed envy, jealosy, and mistrust. Parties on the street result from not having access to other forms of entertainment, as stated, like clubs. But then, why go to a club when you can dance on the street? People who have wealth have something to lose, and if they are attached to their wealth, this could play out in many different ways, resulting in greed, self-interest, and blatant disregard for others (not in all cases, in some cases). Poverty, at its worst, can breed violen...

New comment - Can Well-Being Be Measured?

Very thoughtful essay which does exactly what good writing should do..ask important questions not necessarily providing answers. Your comments are very provocative in that one argument you propose could be utilized as a refuge for scoundrels who might seek to justify unequitable treatment of inner city minority populations. That being said you are courageous in not backing down from presenting it. In so doing you take a lot of the wind from the sails of the ethnocentric who claim to know what a man’s existence is like from observation without relative experience. Nice Job!
