China's Global Smog Strategy

Pollution in Beijing, site of the 2008 Olympics, reached dangerous levels today. The Chinese government announced this morning that her citizens should remain indoors as the outside air was harmful to breathing and overall health.

Officials have also announced that the pollution will be gone before the games and it will be as clean as it will get. Rumors are circulating that the same officials have been whispering that the pollution, if present, is another strategy to deter impending Free Tibet protests that they can’t control.

According to Beyond Grey Stripes, many MBA programs require inclusion of discussion about environmental and social justice issues, yet they lack the instruction on how business can address the problems.


	Also noted, issues of justice seem more important in marketing than CSR and ethics concentrations. Kind of a misfit huh?
