I'm a gay 18 year old from conservative South Carolina who has seen first-handedly the way that prejudice and religious fervor can destroy the lives of even the most innocent. I'm a rather disillusioned college student double majoring in Cell and Molecular biology/Neuroscience and eventually, I either hope to do academic research in the medical field or to join the World Health Organization but I also have a debilitating, progressive, terminal illness, so I may not be able to do that. Also, I spend the summer doing AIDS research on infected chimps.
